Can’t make it to the Teaching and Learning Conference? Watch the plenary sessions live from your desk!

Elon’s 8th annual Teaching and Learning Conference, hosted by CATL and TLT, will be held Thursday, August 18, 2011 in the Koury Business Center. Even if you can’t attend the conference, you can still watch the plenary presentations online via our live web stream. The conference, themed “Thresholds to Learning”, includes two visiting plenary speakers:

  • Ray Land, Professor of Higher Education from the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow), will present “Threshold Concepts and Troublesome Knowledge: A Transformative Approach to Learning” from 8:30am-10:00am.
  • Jim Groom, Instructional Technologist from the University of Mary Washington, will present “Independent Domains: Thresholds to Teaching and Learning on the Open Web” from 3:15pm-4:25pm.
