I watched the “Story of Cosmetics” and very quickly became angry. Everything gives you cancer but somehow we are still surviving and our human race as we know is it not dying out because of Herbal Essence shampoo! Yes, people use on average about 10 different products a day with less than 20% accessed for safety. But who really cares? My lipstick has lead it in? Well, they look good and they haven’t fallen off my face yet so I guess I’m OK. This movie points the finger and the government and companies like P&G for wronging us. How does she know that? Is she in the meeting room of P&G headquarters and hearing them talk about how they want to poison their customers? Absolutely not!
Somebody has to make the rules and be in charge. There is no way all laws and legislation passed is going to appease every human individual in the US let alone the world. And if you have a problem with it than maybe you should go into working for the government in hopes that you can enact a bill you approve of. Better yet, why don’t you just buy the “organic” eco friendly version of your deodorant (Toms, which smells disgusting) and leave the rest of us with our Este Lauder alone. I see why people are attracted to sites like this but its just not for me. Sorry for being a negative Nancy.
On a completely separate note, the media used to express their opinion was beneficial in getting it across to the audience. The cartoons were easy to read and understandable, allowing them to add to what the women was narrating and not taking away from her focus. The site is very easy to navigate and easily accessible by viewers, so kudos to that.
