Musings

I’m really happy to have taken this class because it has lent me a new perspective in visual aesthetics.  I often get caught up in my own self-identity, thinking that I know what is correct, the best way to do something, and what looks good because I’ve been doing art for so long.  This class has made it very apparent that I need to adjust my point of view entering the world of visual communications

This is both exactly what I’ve wanted and needed from a class.  Because of the path of my undergraduate degree and my peers’ lack of artistic savvy, I always received (what I felt was) undeserved praise for my work for no other reason but that I had drawn a picture.  I’ve desperately wanted someone to take my artistic ego down a few pegs and show me a new way to look at my own work.

I think that this class helped me immensely, thank you professor Motley.
