These short animated pieces were very well done with a mix of strong sound effects, sedated colors, gritty styling, and simple drawn characters. There is no dialogue, but an effective use of light, shadows, and camera angles to create drama and mystery. It had a very “Nightmare before Christmas” feel to it in which the characters were eerie, yet you still felt compelled to follow them through the storyline. I would have liked to have seen a more feature length version of the film in order to really understand the plot lines, but I enjoyed a story driven without the use of dialogue, but rather hooking the viewer in with design aesthetics alone.
