I watched the Rick Morris Video because motion graphics interest me, even though I hate After Effects.
He basically says what most artists say, that art is liberating and helps an artist express themselves. He says that motion graphics might be more liberating because people can now have elements of design in a time line and create a linear path. His advice was to find something that you are really involved in, find passion and love and put that into your creation. “It has to come from inside, from your heart” ug gag! But I agree with the passion and love comment. That one can create a great piece if they relate it to something they know well and something they love cause that means they’ll be very cautious with what they create and it’ll drive them to do their best in that art. I like that he ties in architecture as well…I like buildings.
