Rick Morris

Rick Morris is an interesting fellow.  The approach he has to design is a wonderful amalgamation of humbleness and sophistication.  Being able to see his home and understand his idea of a livable and relaxing environment is quite intimate for anyone in that situation.

It is an innate need for him to create and work with the natural motion of an object or shape.  This is how motion graphics should interact with the space and the audience’s perspective.  Morris works with his surroundings to integrate the personal and professional emotions of everyday life.

By having a background in print design, Morris is able to approach everything as a starting point.  Motion graphics work with a beginning, middle, and end through the lens of a magic picture box.  All the accents and nuances of the design are able to permeate the environment and integrate with the content.  Art and motion create a synchronized dance with the content to portray the message.

Again, everything starts somewhere.  Morris’ current project with primitive shapes sets a strong precedence for his flexibility as an artist as well as his capacity as a professional motion graphics creative.  Everything is made up of lines and points.
