The first interview I started with was Jessica Hische, largely due to the unhealthy obsession I have with her wedding invitation, who discussed the origin of her love of design and typography as well as the changes in her profession due to the advent of technology.
For the second, I chose Georgia Christensen. She suggests that designers should tackle the challenge of public transportation, especially city metros. However, I found value in how she draws inspiration from everything. She speaks largely on being inspired by a chimney her late father designed/built.
Jennifer Morla’s video, though on the shorter side, was easily my favorite. Her points are eloquently made in short sentences, pushing forward the notion of design as more than a marketing tool. Informing the audience about the value of design, the expression it can promote through simple lines or symmetry.
