Best way to learn about visualization is to make it!
After watching this video I had no idea that people actually have a job in creating infographics. I always thought that visualizations were a simple graph, that somebody did in Microsoft Word or something. Data visualization is a form of art and writing because you are creating a design and you explaining what you are writing through you visual. Watching this video has helped me realize that you can put interactive media into almost anything. The purpose of data visualization is to change what you think about the data or take what you think and change it. Data visualization is important because you are helping people understand the content that is being presented better. By making visuals you are drawing people in and it is a great for people learn about the material that is being presented in the chart or graph.
