After watching this documentary I never knew or thought about how much time goes into developing and creating a font. As an designer, I am always looking at logo, magazine, flyer, etc to see what font they are using and how does the font go well with the design. I agree with Erik Speikermann when he says that he as “typomanics”, because I am as well. I just look at different styles of font all the time just for fun. To me the type of font used in a design is very important the font is either going to give your design that spark or make it dull, but most importantly the person looking at your design needs to be able to read it.
I love how a typeface can express a mood or an atmosphere and that’s exactly what Helvetica is doing. Helvetica could be seen in many different forms and could express emotion in many different forms as well. Helvetica has been used as sleek font and has been used a simple font.
