I don’t know me no good art

The importance of gaining a knowledge and better understanding of these topics lies in having a better appreciation for the diverse nature of “beauty”. While it is trite but true that beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder having a better grasp of the field as a whole only helps in delivering exactly what the ‘customer’ wants whether it’s graphic design, website design or any other. This may be one of the few areas where more importance is placed on giving the customer what they want rather than what they need.

When we expand our horizons of what we know as ‘art’ we only enhance our appeal within our chosen fields. Having a a basic understanding of important professionals in the field may be a great value in anticipating changes within the world of design.  It never hurts to sound like you know what your talking about around the water cooler or at the cocktail party either.
