Coming from a background in English and literature, I don’t have much experience in art as it pertains to graphic design. Although I’m not always able to translate it properly from my imagination to paper, I do have a basic sense of aesthetics, especially when it concerns what is displeasing to the eye.
My goals in the coming weeks include not only developing my understanding of aesthetics in general, but more importantly how to apply them in a professional field. Being able to recognize and follow the process necessary to alter a design so that it surpasses the original concept in terms of visual appeal. Receiving critiques and feedback from my peers, as well as getting the opportunity to critique them, will help give me a better idea of how to better edit and transform my creations.
