Thirty Conversations

Of the videos I watched, I enjoyed one way more then the others.  I understand that these videos were supposed to be short home movies but some people put a little more effort into theirs then others.  This made me believe in their answers more than the others I watched.

Pete Docter, an animator, screenwriter, and director for Pixar, shot his video from an angle that made him look like he was standing over the edge of a building.  Coupling with some dramatic music in the background, this angle provided suspense to the viewer.

This approach also made sense with his answers to the questions.  The most inspirational part of design for him is “Story”. With out a story a piece has no meaning.  I tend to very much agree here.  I think for a person to understand the meaning behind any design they have to be told some sort of story. This tactic intrigues viewers, and is precisely why interactive storytelling is so compelling and becoming so popular.  His video does this the best out of any of them that I watched and it really shows.
