Its hard to look at David Carson’s work and call it graphic design, Its pure Art. Going back to my last post from about design having the a foundation of art this further proves that. Post modernism is fluent and its eye catching. Typography also has that same foundation. What make Typography interesting is that it seem more as a tool similar to a paintbrush I think that is clear in David Carson’s work and also Paula Scher.
I didnt not realize that Mark Romanek directed a lot of music videos from my favorite artist. I actually modeled my video style from Mark Romanek, in terms of the cinematography. Its like a blend of realism and post modernism art. The visual aesthetics he adds to music videos take it to an engaging level.
Overall this was a good watch and gives good examples of the foundation of Art in design.
