Hi everyone! My name is Monica Planinsek and I am a senior. I am majoring in marketing and minoring in communications. At Elon, I have been involved in Elonthon. I chose to take this course because I am very interested in learning more about what it truly means to be a global citizen. I needed an advanced study to graduate and thought that this course seemed perfect. I am excited to learn more about many of these social issues, in my business and communications classes we never really speak about these important issues that I believe everyone should be more aware of. I also love traveling and learning more about others cultures, so I thought I should know more about what it means to be a ‘global citizen.’
My COR 110 class was three years ago so I don’t remember everything that we covered. I do remember diving into racial issues and covering a lot of topics around that. We also talked a lot about important current events that were happening. I have not taken many classes that directly relate to this one, besides an intro to psychology class my freshman year.
