A town of just 3 square miles, Nashville was established in 1780, and serves as the founding town of Nash County. While it is just close to 20 minutes from the city of Rocky Mount, Nashville is a small town has a few historic, beautiful Queen Anne and Victorian style homes. Much of Nashville is made up of land, as none of the 3 square miles have any bodies of water at all. The town has grown more than 130% in the last 20 years, and now there are approximately 5,000 residents. Each spring, Nashville holds a Blooming Festival, featuring a carnival, musical performances and art and cultural events. Nash Arts, The Nash County Arts Council, helps sponsor this event.
