17th Annual Teaching and Learning Conference: Registration Open
Registration is now open for Elon’s 17th annual Teaching and Learning Conference happening on June 10, 2021. Jointly sponsored by Elon’s Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL) and Teaching and Learning Technologies (TLT), this free fully-virtual conference offers sessions and workshops centered around the theme of Teaching & Learning Beyond the Pandemic. Registration is required and will remain open until June 7, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Session Zoom links will be shared directly with registrants the week of the conference.
The day will begin with a keynote address from Dr. James Lang, Professor of English and the Director of the D’Amour Center for Teaching Excellence at Assumption College in Worcester, MA. Author of five books, including his latest Distracted: Why Students Can’t Focus and What You Can Do About It, Dr. Lang will make the case for why our ultimate goal as educators should not be to eliminate distractions, but to create educational experiences that cultivate and support attention to learning. Read more about Dr. Lang.
Beyond Dr. Lang’s address, the conference will offer a rich variety of evidence-based workshops and virtual presentations that will culminate with a 45-minute networking and discussion for takeaways and pathways forward.
