Starting college can be an intimidating prospect, even weeks after your first class. There’s a lot of new information to learn, and that’s not even including the classes! We’ve distilled some of the important information related to technology here at Elon for you in this blog to help you get adjusted to campus life at Elon.

Setting up Student Email on Outlook for iOS

Many first-year students have been running into issues setting up their Elon email accounts on the Outlook app for iOS mobile devices. Students will need to set up their account manually with their Elon credentials in order to receive mail on the app. Learn more about setting up Outlook for iOS here.

Television service for students living in Elon’s residence halls (not properties leased by the university) is provided via Philo. Philo delivers live TV and DVR capabilities to your laptops, tablets, smartphones and TV sets anywhere on the campus network. Students living in Elon’s residence halls also have access to HBO Max – the streaming platform that bundles all of HBO together with more of your favorite movies and TV series, plus new Max Originals.

LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning offers an extensive library of video tutorials to help complement your education with courses on business, technology and creative skills. These high-quality tutorials are taught by industry experts and are available 24/7 for convenient, self-paced learning.

In order to achieve maximum connectivity, Elon University created the My Devices portal to give you the ability to register up to ten devices for the elonu-connect wireless network, our fastest network available. Ideal for gaming, streaming and more, this network also offers WPA2-PSK security for added protection.
