Proximity Hotel is a luxurious green hotel located in Greensboro North Carolina. This hotel is one of only three other hotels in the world that was given the title of a LEED Platinum “green hotel”. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, which is the nationally accepted benchmark for design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings. Proximity’s Hotel mission is provide their guests with high quality accommodations, receive friendly and attentive serve from the trained staff, offer and array of amenities, provide employment that is rewarding, generate profits and consider sustainable practices in our social and physical worlds.
Proximity Hotel attracts customers who are looking for a luxurious place to stay at a reasonable value. Costing approximately 259 to 289 to stay in a regular room, this hotel attracts mainly middle-upper class individuals. Also since hotel Proximity is big on living green, they attract those individuals who also partake in this and want to stay in a “green” hotel. Proximity Hotel customers value the luxurious hotel and the amenities they have to offer and lastly the vibe that the hotel gives off. The results of Proximity hotel is being named one of three hotels to be LEED Platinum certified. They strive to be as “green” as possible and their work has payed off. They have great customer, including Obama himself. Proximity plans to continue living sustainably and being of the the greenest hotels here in the Unites States. When we had visited and gotten a tour of the hotel today, I thought the hotel certainly achieved the luxurious looks and feel with friendly staff. I did find it interesting that being only one of three LEED Platinum hotels in the United States that is was located in Greensboro, North Caroline. I would have expected it to be in a bigger city.
