A laptop rests on a black tableTo help Elon instructors prepare for teaching this fall, staff from Teaching and Learning Technologies (TLT) will present two, three-day training sessions focused on blended course delivery and the ins-and-outs of various technologies offered at Elon.

This training series will be hosted virtually, July 14-16 and August 5-7 from 9 a.m.-noon. Topics will include technology available in on-campus classroom spaces, techniques to design and organize course materials, synchronous and asynchronous teaching techniques, and more.

Instructors will gain insight into effective strategies for combining pedagogy and technology for a blended learning environment that maximizes face-to-face instruction, while maintaining physical distancing. Participants explore Moodle for blended course delivery, Webex and Zoom as tools to engage students, Microsoft Teams for collaboration and Kaltura for video creation, among other tools. In addition, instructors will have dedicated time to connect and share ideas with other instructors, including Kyle Altmann, Associate Professor of Physics and Faculty Fellow for Technology.

The curriculum for both three-day sessions will be the same. Registration is required. Connection information and a detailed schedule will be sent via email, a few days before the event. Select your preferred session below to register.
