short, sweet and SIMPLE!

I like how Annie Leonard went about executing her story. She did it rather well to as she gave animated visuals, a clear plot and gave flexibility to the people watching to move backward and forward at their own leisure. She talks about politics in this particular video and got the point across effectively.

She walked us through the whole process from start to finish and she also kind of gave us a call to action within the video. How she spoke and went about things, made it easy to relate to what she was talking about. As I mentioned earlier, Annie gives the person viewing the video freedom to navigate through with buttons. With these buttons you can go to a particular topic that you want to hear about and cut out everything else. I’ve always been a fan of this and the times that I did miss the presidential debate, I went to New York Times online for this same reason. Freedom to navigate through a video and options that allow you to pic a particular topic and go directly to that point in the video.

The video in general was simple and maybe that was why it was so good. Anyone who knows me knows that I like to take a complex idea and make it simple. The simpler the better in my opinion and Annie executed that idea perfectly. With simple animation, easy to read text and the freedom to navigate throughout the video, this was a simply brilliant piece.
