Reponse to Kristin’s Questions Week 5

1. Kristin, you raise some good questions here about the nature of humanity in our modern, mechanized world. It comes to no surprise to me that religious adherence is falling by the way-side these days. I believe the essence of the digital human is that technology could augment our connection to our environment as well as to each other. It augments our voice in a world where before, you may not have been heard.

2. I believe I sort of provided my own answer to this in number 1. Our individuality isn’t in question and our humanism isn’t absent when we can be connected to each other, have our own say, in the new media world.

3. Blogging, social networking, and the beginning of political causes by individuals are just a few ways we can do this.
