Elon University was notified of a data breach at The Chronicle of Higher Education, where many members of our community may have accounts. Read the organization’s Notice of Data Breach to learn more about the incident and the information involved.

If you have a Chronicle account, please change your password. If you used the same password on other sites, changing those credentials also is advised. This is a good reminder not to reuse passwords. Instead, use a password manager like LastPass to create unique passwords for each of your accounts. LastPass is available to Elon faculty, staff and students at no cost.
