Well THAT was frightening

Jake: Have you done Motley’s blog yet?

Me: ACK! No! Gotta do that now.

(ten minutes later…)

Me: LORD that was disturbing! Why the #$%& did I watch that when I am alone in Powell??

Jake: Not a good idea.

And so on and so forth. Yes, it did come up that I thought they looked like demented little minions from “Despicable Me” (which I see Dioni beat me to the punch again! I have got to start getting in my blogs before hers!) but in my cursory skimming of everyone’s post I didn’t notice anyone mention that not only do these stories work as a whole, they work individually.

I didn’t read the directions carefully and accidentally watched them out of order (Hounds of Flesh, The Good News, Pizza Sangre) and then went back and watched them in the correct order. Having seen them as stand alone first they work fine as solo pieces, but better as a whole. The narrative is chilling and I think there is something to be said for how much information the story tellers packed into about three minutes.

As others have written, well done sound effects and editorial decisions can tell just as nuanced a story as a well written script. While the story seems relatively tied up by the end, I was left with a few questions:

1) Who was the killer?

2) Why had the guide dog escaped from the master?

3) Why was he (the dog) hostile to the blind man?

4) Who ordered the pizza?
