Like my title clearly explains, Converge south was the first professional conference I have ever attended. I was never really keen on looking any up and attending them but i’m glad we were kind of forced into this one.. ( I did say kind of)
It was a great experience listening to experts in the field discussing ideas on topics everyone attending was interested in and the best part was there was something for everybody. Whether you wanted to listen to a seminar on social media, or developing your identity online, to web design and other interesting subjects.
It may have been my first conference, and I may have not spent the whole day there, but it will not be my last. The true power of networking was clear that day, and I watched closely as my classmates mingled with speakers and other attendees trying to grasp as much knowledge and contacts as they possibly can. It was a great site and an eye opener because I’m clearly not doing enough and might be the right time to start.
