Designers are weird, but that’s okay

I thought I would watch another of those hour-long profiles so as not to do a duplicate blog, but as these aren’t being graded on quality, and as we’re all pretty busy with other stuff that doesn’t include sitting and watching something for an hour, I’ll just post my thoughts on Rick Morris anyway.

That guy is weird. But in a cool way. Maybe the more accurate word is eclectic? Eccentric? Eclaireic? I don’t know. Whatever it is, I like it. What stuck with me the most was when he talked about how your heart speaks to your brain, which speaks to your hands, which create. I’ve often told friends of mine that if I can see it, I can create it. His way sounds much more precise, and much less arrogant. I think I’ll start using that explanation instead of mine. That’s all. Quantity, not quality.
