Reaction: 20 Things I Learned About…

This reading was very informative for me.  Even small details, such as how information is transferred (in “packets”) make so much sense now that I’ve learned about them, but never occurred to me as a casual internet user.  I also never realized that “backwards compatibility” in web browsers could end up dragging websites down by forcing them to appeal to the “lowest common denominator.”  These simple ideas seem as though they could make a world of difference in web design.  The presentation of the information was actually very helpful.  Its simplistic nature allowed me to understand the basic concepts and how they apply together.
