The best part of The Story of Stuff is how it breaks down concepts that can tend to be abstract or boring and makes them into a fun, simple visual explanation. I think this is one of the more powerful things about the web. The idea that despite all the interesting interactivity, less is always more. The whole thing could have been clogged with a million useless bits of information and links, but the designers chose the most important ones and highlighted them in a smart way. We can learn a lot about web development from sites and videos like this one.
