My story is about the time I went to Greece for fall break. It was right when the war in Israel began, and it was a scary time to travel. I was already nervous about travelling and this story covers the scariest time of my abroad experience and how I handled it.
This is a story about my 10 hour, 18 mile hike on the South Island of New Zealand during the second weekend of my semester abroad. I knew we were doing a hike, but I did not know how rigorous it was going to be. While it was a physical challenge, I found joy during it. I saw amazing landscapes and met new friends during the trek. It was an incredible experience that led to me planning more hikes and outdoor experiences while in New Zealand.
In my story, I talk about the aspects of abroad you are unprepared for, specifically how my flight to Bali, Indonesia was canceled. My story covers my travel day and the accommodations that we were given in place of our flight.
In this story, I talk about my experience visiting the Argentina National Team (soccer) training facility during my trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina. I experienced a new love for soccer during this visit because it was right after the team had won the World Cup, and it was so special that we even could tour the facility. People dream of getting this opportunity, and not many people even get to see this facility, so I felt truly lucky to do so because of how rich the soccer culture is in Argentina and how much I love soccer myself.
I went coasteering on a weekend trip to Cornwall, England. It was one of the most adventurous things I’ve ever done and I will never forget it as long as I live.
Turbulent Beginnings: My Chaotic Journey to Copenhagen
My flight to Copenhagen was canceled and Delta never rebooked a new ticket. This story covers my experience from sitting on the flight, getting off, and stressing to find a new one. I arrived in Copenhagen safe but certainly shaken up.
This story is about the time that my friends and I missed our layover flying from Prague back to Naples. We got stranded in Vienna (it did not wait for us) and had to figure out a way to get back to Naples which resulted in an 11:30 pm flight to Rome and then trains and cars back to Sorrento. We decided to leave the airport in Vienna and go into the city which resulted in me having the best meal that I had all of abroad.
