“I had the opportunity to spend time in Cuba with my class of Periclean Scholars during J-term of 2020 and it was amazing. While Cuba was a stunning experience, one thing that stood out to me was the architecture of Havana. In particular, just seeing how different influences (i.e. Spanish, Islamic, etc.) in the architecture of Havana and how it reflects the synergistic nature of Cuban culture.”

Seeing Through A Lens

This is the story of the time I unexpectedly took a photography class in Dublin which ended up being crucial for my adjustment to the city. By living my life through the lens of a camera for 2 and a half hours once a week I became more familiar with my surroundings and was able to better understand the new culture I was in and reflect back on the little moments I encountered.

My Favorite Place in the World

This is the story of the time I spontaneously traveled to my now favorite place in the world, New Zealand. This trip gave me my first “I never want to leave” moment while studying abroad. It is hard to put into words what it was like to truly fall in love with this country and my experience. Traveling to New Zealand is something I will always cherish and would give anything to relive.
