One month into studying abroad in Japan, I decided to take a 3-day weekend to Tokyo with some new friends in my program, and, boy, was it something. This was a very pivotal part of my abroad journey as it was the first time I and a group of my friends were alone, without our professors, and got lost in the middle of China.
