During his speech at Numen Lumen, T.J. Bowie shares how his childhood in a military family contributed to the adaptable nature he prides himself with today as a professional adult. T.J. also credits his caring and supportive community of mentors for his growing achievements and resilience despite a variety of challenges presented throughout his life.
T.J. Bowie has been the Assistant Director of Auxiliary Services since June 2017, assisting in the leadership and guidance of Elon Dining and Print and Mail Services. Prior to that he served as the Coordinator of Residential Campus Dining and Engagement at Elon University.
He has experience in men’s engagement and mentoring work, is a trained member of the university Appeals Board, and a current member of the university Staff Advisory Council. T.J. holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Regis University, Denver, CO and a Master of Science in College Student Personnel Administration from Canisius College, Buffalo, NY, and is working on his MBA at Elon University.
