Stories and experiences by American Muslim women were offered in a space where Muslim women can speak openly about their experiences as women, as humans and as Americans. With drama and humor, the project brings to life the diversity of Muslim-American experiences, and engages issues of race, gender and religious tolerance through stories that also challenge violence and hatred.
Hijabi Monologues have performed at colleges and universities throughout the United States and Europe, and they lead storytelling and identity workshops that empower others to tell their own stories.
