Anna Torres-Zeb is from San Diego, CA where she worked as a middle school English and History teacher at the Islamic School of San Diego. She has served on the Interfaith Outreach Committee of the Islamic Center of San Diego and as a youth leader and mentor through the Muslim American Society. Anna has organized interfaith events and friendship building initiatives with youth of Muslim, Jewish and Christian backgrounds. In addition, she earned a BA in Religion from the University of California, San Diego, a Masters in Social Sciences and Comparative Education from the University of California, Los Angeles and an Education Specialist teaching credential from San Diego State University. This fall, Anna will be teaching an introductory course on Islamic Beliefs through the Osher Institute at Duke University. She lives in Morrisville, NC with her husband, Adeel.
