Ask a Lawyer Day, Saturday, April 23

Elon Law’s “Ask a Lawyer Day” has been scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 23 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. here at the law school. This annual event provides Elon Law students with a fantastic opportunity to participate in pro bono work.  On April 23, members of the Greensboro community are invited to speak with a volunteer lawyer at no charge about legal questions they may have. Students will have the invaluable opportunity to observe the attorney-client interaction and learn about the subject matter of the consultations.  The practice areas in which we receive the most requests for assistance include family law, employment, public benefits, general property issues, wills/estates, bankruptcy, foreclosure, mortgage, tax, criminal and personal injury. Student volunteer shifts are available from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., 12 p.m. – 2 p.m., or the entire day from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

To sign up as a student volunteer, or if you have any questions about Ask A Lawyer Day, please contact Grayson Lowery at glowery@elon.edu.
