Plan ahead for street closures: December 4th and 5th

Greensboro’s Annual Festival of Lights Celebration is scheduled for Friday, December 4th.  While the Celebration will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday throughout the downtown area, the police department will begin to close streets as early as 1:00 p.m. on Friday.  Police will begin closing Elm Street at 4 p.m.  Elm Street will turn into a block party stretching from Lee Street to Center City Park. In addition to the lights, the events will include live music, Santa Claus and the city tree lighting at 7:30 p.m. at Center City Park.

The Greensboro Jaycees Holiday Parade is scheduled for Saturday, December 5th beginning at 12:00 p.m. and will last approximately 2 hours. We encourage you not to park in the Bellemeade deck if you plan to leave the law school prior to 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon.  The parade route is down Greene Street as indicated on the map located at http://gsoholidayparade.com/.

If you have an exam scheduled for Friday afternoon or Saturday morning, you should plan to arrive to the law school early.
