After viewing these videos, it was apparent that design is used to explain something particular or maybe even tell a story. I feel like alot of the designers talked about something on these lines. “It’s all about presentation,” something that I’ve been saying of recent. It doesn’t matter how something may look or how it was made but if you can present it in a convincing manner, than half the battle is won. Part of presentation is having an origin or meaning being explained behind the process. Not necessarily the product itself but everything that went into it.
The designers that I watched all seemed to have a similar mindset. There should always be a reason behind things that are created. The final product and the reasoning behind it, is what makes their work something worth paying attention to. Reasoning, a long thought out process and sometimes even research are all things go along with this concept.
These artist that were talking are no different than us. They want to do something that will have an impact on someone else’s lives. They do that by way of their work. The presentation and meaning is everything. Same as us regular people. Everybody wants to make an impact in someone else’s life. Your impact however won’t be accepted an/or will be appreciated more if you focus on the presentation and meaning. You can’t approach anybody at any time. When you try to show or do something to impact their life, how you do it goes along way. The meaning part of this…. simply is based on your heart, if you’re trying to positively impact someone and it’s coming from the heart and isn’t just for a show, than your on the right track.
Presentation and Meaning, the only difference between us and these artist is the form in which we’re to express ourselves and touch someone else’s life.
