Schizophrenia at its best!!

When I first started reading STITCH BITCH (it really is fun to say!!!) all I was thinking was this woman is psychotic. It was one of those things where you hate what you are reading but you can’t stop yourself from reading it either. Honestly I was thinking, ” Phil must really hate us! We have enough work as it is why is he making us read this S*** (do you like my censorship?)”

I was confused throughout but a few moments after reading it I think I figured it out.

I don’t know how it relates to visual aesthetics per say but I understand how it relates to us, at least to me in this moment in time.

The more I read the more I realized that the whole point of her confusing writing is to go beyond limitations, create her own boundaries. She asks us to ” borrow and lend, write mutt” and my favorite quote of all ” If its in your head it’s yours to express”

All she really wants us to do is color outside the lines, take a few risks, push our boundaries. I think we have a lot to learn from her. We should go beyond what is expected from us and even what we expect from ourselves. We should trust in our judgments and take risks. Make mistakes and go beyond the norm!!

Although I still think she is a schizophrenic I want to believe that I can take something from the reading.

First thing I’m going to do is buy a coloring book and literally Color outside the lines.
