The iPhone is really easy to use.
Yes, that is the most obvious statement of all time. But still, what a design success right? That everybody can use this thing with almost no training?
I bet Tufte is pissed that they never fixed the stock market or weather apps. I don’t think I’ve ever looked at the stock market app before, but it looks exactly the same as it did in the video. Although the design is super efficient, Tufte probably still wants some content there, no?
Safari is the same too, but it’s not like any of these apps are broken. Especially on the iPhone 5 with the bigger screen, there’s more room for content and therefore a better interface.
Overall, I’m glad we took a more analytical approach to looking at the iPhone’s interface. I’m sure it will help with our next project.
