Creating motion graphics is tough. So I could only assume that creating motion graphics for broadcast would be just as tough. With all the technology that we have at our fingertips we can let our imaginations go wild and make our thoughts come to life…at least this is much easier than it was many years ago before computers were used for everything. In Harry Marks documentary I learned a lot about broadcast design. Especially about design before computers ruled the world. What stuck out to me the most was that motion designers would use a basic poster with text and use a camera to capture the motion of the type to create various elements of motion. The many things that these designers were able to do is mind-blowing. This gives me an entirely new appreciation of how designers would create things before modern technology took over.
