Thirty Conversations on Design

I just finished viewing 3 videos. The first video I watch was from Edwin Chan “Need Vs. Want”. This 2009 video is Edwin Chan talking about saving the environment and the “Going Green” movement. He basically said that America’s new interest in saving the enviroment is a fad and only growing because of cool design. He went on to say that if American’s really cared about the environment people would not drive cars to work and work from home and do other things to really help save the enviroment.

The second video I watched was Ami Kealoha “Bound Together.” She was talking about a rubber band ball and how it takes many different bands to make that ball, but together they colectievly make one ball that works together.

The last video I watched was Georgia Christensen. She talked about a chimney her designed but how he had to had help from the brick layer to complete his dream. I think what she was trying to really say was that sometimes it takes two to complete a vision. One that has the vision and one that knows how to make the product.

These videos are very informative and also show you the process people go through.
