I had a lot of trouble with these short films. They were a bit too short. It didn’t give me enough time to relate to any of the characters or the story behind them.
I mean watching them was actually more annoying than entertaining a very steep switch from the older series we watched. I didn’t seem to understand any of the stories except for the Soldier one where I assume he is dead .. period?
The movies were mainly less than 5 minutes long but gave no back story and did not allow me, the viewer to get attached or even slightly interested or emotionally engaged in the films. Most of the time I was watching them because I had to and wouldn’t do so free willed.
I think the films need a stronger plot, more stand out characters, and more time to build the story. I understand it is difficult to make short films but I believe you need to be able to take something from these movies which I can’t say I have.
