I think conversations such as these are vital to the success of everyone. These conversations should also occur in every industry, not just design. It is clear that in the world we live in there are continuing problems and massive class gaps, both within countries and across countries. I think as a global citizen it is really the duty of all to pursue a career in a way that is driven towards success (whether it is monetarily driven or notoriety driven), but also to think outside of that towards a way that improves society as a whole. The big thinkers and innovators can surely bring about thoughts on change, but it takes other industries willing to implement them in order to make a real difference. I think conversations such as these should occur across disciplines to facilitate such action.
