No Year One for HTML 5

I love change. I love HTML 5.

HTML 5 is more than a revision to what’s come before it. It is a combination of many design principles. Like the article says, there is no Year Zero for HTML 5.

HTML 5 doesn’t change things a whole lot. This makes sense because it still needs to support existing content, even if the existing context is a complete mess. Essentially, it’s a delicate balancing act. It’s pragmatic, though.

Just think of the new Document Type Declaration. It’s user friendly and effective. No plug-in needed, the rich media elements in HTML 5 are native to the browser. Canvas – ah, drawing with code.

Ugh, I love HTML 5.
