Meet Maddie Baruch, a second year law student from Tampa, FL. Maddie graduated from the University of Central Florida in Orlando with a degree in Legal Studies. Growing up, Maddie worked with her father in his journey of starting his own restaurant. Watching her family create something they loved together is where Maddie developed her passion for small businesses. She joined Elon’s Small Business and Entrepreneurship Clinic to help assist other individuals and families in making their dreams reality. In her spare time, Maddie volunteers with Greensboro’s Guardian Ad Litem program. She also is an Officer of Elon’s Tax Clinic, and is a Staff Editor for Elon’s Business Journal.
Meet Tai Hensley, a second year law student from Winston-Salem, NC. She graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Wake Forest University. Before law school, Tai worked in the media buying department of an advertising agency in Winston-Salem, where she negotiated rates and scheduling for broadcast TV and radio advertisements. After her first year, she interned in a small private defense law firm in Winston-Salem. Tai is the current treasurer for the Elon Law Student Bar Association and plans to apply to an LLM program in Tax Law after graduation. She looks forward to providing assistance and support to the best of her ability in the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Clinic during Winter 2020.
