After graduating Elon in 2010 with a degree in communications, Adam Constantine went on to play professional basketball in seven different countries for five seasons. Following an exciting basketball career, he decided to switch gears and return to his interest in communications where he worked at a digital marketing firm in Durham, NC for several years. Adam was eventually pulled back to Elon in 2015 where he currently holds the position of Social Media Manager at Elon University.
After a lively performance by Elon student and local performer, Kellcee Batchelor aka “K. Freshh,” Adam reflects on his past as an Elon student, professional basketball player, and Social Media Manager at Elon. He speaks specifically about his experience with religion including being a spiritual minority in Turkey as a non-Muslim and later questioning his childhood faith of Christianity. This contrasting viewpoint challenged him to consider what values resonate with him and to discover what spirituality he identifies with most. Adam shares that one’s willingness to question certain aspects of life can lead to a deeper understand of oneself and the world. In Adams experience, his faith has given him the resilience to be content in any situation and push himself to find what he is truly passionate about.
