Coordinator of Service-Learning and Volunteer Programs, The University of Southern Maine

The University of Southern Maine seeks applicants for the position of Coordinator of Service-Learning and Volunteer Programs in the department of Community Engagement and Career Development. The Coordinator is responsible for the development and delivery of comprehensive service learning and volunteer programming. The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate service learning and volunteer opportunities by promoting and supporting relationships among faculty, academic and administrative units, community partners, and students and assessing service and volunteer experiences from the faculty, student, and community partner perspectives.

Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree; and 3 years’ professional experience working in community service-learning at a 4-year college or university including liaison responsibilities with faculty, academic support staff and external community partners.
• Evidence of analytic and research reporting ability, success in grant writing and proposal development.
License/Certifications:
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred:
• Experience in higher education leadership; group facilitation skills; strong computer skills.
• Able to work independently, handle multiple projects.
