Connect2Complete Program Director, Ohio Campus Compact

The Connect2Complete program’s goal is to improve student retention and graduation rates of low-socioeconomic status and underrepresented college students through a unique combination of peer advocacy and community engagement activities.

The OCC Connect2Complete Program Director is responsible for the continued development, coordination and oversight of the C2C program. This will be a part-time consulting position for several months, with the potential for full-time employment in the fall of 2014.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Ohio Campus Compact, the Program Director will provide leadership and strategic focus for all project activities and help guide the vision and theory of change. Working collaboratively with a diverse set of stakeholders including senior staff, sub-grantees, state office staff, OCC staff, campus-based AmeriCorps VISTA members, advisory board members and representatives from funding organizations, the Program Director will implement and oversee all aspects of the program including the expansion of key components of the campus programs, oversight of sub-grantees, and possibly establishment and coordination of a state advisory board. The Program Director will also be the primary author of reports, tools, web content and papers related to the project under the direction of OCC’s Executive Director.

The position is based at Ohio Campus Compact on the Denison University campus. In-state travel is required.

Primary Responsibilities
*Lead in the development and implementation of all aspects of the C2C program including planning, staffing, marketing, funding, reporting, and evaluation.
*Communicate and coordinate with all stakeholders regarding C2C.
*Conduct site visits to sub-grantees.
*Plan and coordinate sub-grantee and state advisory board meetings.
*Help to develop new pathways and/or leverage funding from potential funders and/or re-purposed funding on campuses.
*Make presentations at conferences and meetings regarding C2C.
*Develop and execute a dissemination plan of materials about C2C including set-up and maintenance of a website, YouTube, ListServs, etc.
*Administrative management of Connect2Complete AmeriCorps VISTA members, including gathering monthly paperwork and other duties for a team of up to 12 VISTA members across Ohio.
*Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
*Masters degree preferred, Bachelors will be considered for well qualified candidates.
*Proven leadership in the nonprofit or higher education sector(s).
*Demonstrated track record of successful project management.
*Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
*Experience with college access, retention and completion initiatives; civic engagement within higher education; peer-to-peer mentoring; and/or student leadership development.
*Proven ability to create and sustain strategic partnerships.
*Demonstrated success in working with diverse stakeholders and state and national networks.
*Strong grants management skills.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Knowledge of and experience with community colleges and/or learning communities preferred.
*Flexibility to travel as needed (in-state).
