AmeriCorps Program Coordinator, Catholic Volunteer Network

This position will manage the administration of federal grant. Coordinate the AmeriCorps program for Catholic
Volunteer Network member programs. Specific functions include:

  • Prepare continuation and re-competition grant requests for the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS).
  • Produce and submit annual progress reports to CNCS.
  • Develop, distribute and collect program evaluation tools, including development of performance
    measures and targets.
  • Develop continuous improvements plans for CVN AmeriCorps Education Awards Program.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between CVN and CNCS.
  • Consult with State Service Commissions and network with AmeriCorps National programs.
    Review applicants and select eligible CVN member programs for participation in the CVN AmeriCorps
    Program
  • Organize, plan and manage annual training meeting in conjunction with CVN annual conference.
  • Coordinate and implement enrollment and exit procedures of CVN AmeriCorps Program members in AmeriCorps enrollment system.
  • Coordinate and support time tracking data entry of members’ hours in online reporting system.
  • Prepare and distribute orientation materials and required paperwork (including handbooks and manuals) for CVN program directors, site supervisors, and members.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor program policies and procedures.
  • Conduct monitoring activities, including site visits, desk reviews, and file audits.
  • Support program directors in orienting service site staff.
  • Assess CVN AmeriCorps Program’s trainings and technical assistance needs.
  • Field and respond to CVN AmeriCorps Program inquiries (phone, mail, e-mail).
  • Manage and update AmeriCorps Program pages on the CVN Website.
  • In coordination with AmeriCorps Assistant Program Coordinator, monitor members (service descriptions) and sites (site descriptions) for eligibility for AmeriCorps participation.
  • In coordination with Membership and Recruitment Coordinator, promote AmeriCorps Program eligibility to CVN members.

General

  • Supervise AmeriCorps Program staff (currently two full-time and part-time/temporary as needed).
  • Provide monthly article for CVN’s general newsletter (“How Can I Help?”) on AmeriCorps activities.
  • Plan and host staff trainings and retreats as scheduled or necessary.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or as assigned.
