CUPID Projects

PWR students engage in many different projects through CUPID to help enhance the education received in the PWR program. There are two types of CUPID projects: CUPID Studio projects and PWR research projects. CUPID Studio projects take place in the CUPID Studio course (English 282).  These projects consist of student groups who work with clients to produce deliverables. Recent projects have included creating advertising materials for the Public Health major and writing the English Department’s Newsletter: The Back Cover. PWR students have also conducted research projects through CUPID in classes such as English 215: Introduction to Professional Writing & Rhetoric and English 397: Writing as Inquiry, which enhanced their collaboration and research abilities. These projects have included the creation of marketing materials for the Association for Business Communication and the North Carolina Wild Cat Project. As a part of our projects, CUPID has created several partnerships with groups including the Conservator’s Center in Mebane, N.C. and Family Abuse Services of Alamance County. Working on partnership projects allows students to develop professional communication skills and experience. For more information on CUPID projects, please browse through the project sections located in the menu.
