In recognition of the Spring Convocation for Honors speaker Muhammad Yunus, Belk Library will have a display this week of items from our collection concerning Third World Development.

Nobel Prize winner Yunus will speak Tuesday April 3rd at 3:30pm in the Alumni Gym.  Tickets required.  http://www.elon.edu/e-net/Note.aspx?id=958971

In celebration of Women’s History Month Belk Library will have a display of materials through the end of the month.

This week in our display area we are highlighting our collection of literature in foreign languages.  For info on classes and programs in Foreign Languages at Elon see:  Elon’s Department of Foreign Languages.

We also have a display of information and books about the country of Georgia in honor of Elon’s Visiting International Scholar Giuli Shabashvilli, and her research topic:  “Second Language Education: Problems and Challenges in Modern Educational Environment.”  Located on the second floor near the DVDs.

The amazing student staff members at Belk have selected their favorite reading recommendations just for you and they will be on display all week!

In conjunction with the Jazz Festival held at Elon lat week we invite you to explore Belk Library’s collection about Jazz on our display wall.

Belk library wishes you all a happy Valentine’s Day!  In our display space this week you will find lots of interesting books and DVDs that give insight into the psychology of love and romance.

Happy Chinese New Year!

All this week Belk will have a display of information about the holiday and Chinese culture.

According to the Chinese Zodiac it is the year of the dragon, and if you were born in 1928, 1940, 1976, 1988 or 2000 you are a fearless dragon!
